How to Manifest Happiness in Your Life
I used to look outside of myself and think, “why do others seem to have happier lives, then me.” This question affected me so profoundly that it set me out on a journey to answer the question. The first place I had to look was, why did I feel unhappy? What is it in my life that is causing me to feel unhappy? The answer came relatively quickly as I started to see how much of my happiness depended on the outside world.
I began to see a pattern if I was performing, making others happy, or acquiring something I felt a fleeting moment of happiness, followed by lingering unhappiness. If, on the other hand, I was experiencing being in the moment doing what was in front of me and not being concerned with the future, I felt happy. I was perplexed, how could it be that if I was “me, unfiltered, being the age I am, looking the way I look and being the me, I am,” I felt happy. We have heard it all before…you know, people speaking about the energy we project to the Universe and how that affects the life we want.

Manifestation is a real thing, and I am here to explain to you why it’s essential if you’re going to manifest happiness in your life. A life filled with love, self-acceptance, and faith in yourself and others.
So, what is Manifestation? According to the Dictionary, ” Manifestation is an event, action, or object that clearly shows or embodies something, especially a theory or an abstract idea.” If we think about manifestation in terms of our thoughts and our feelings, we are saying what we think and feel makes something that correlates with what we are thinking. If we go one step further, we see that what we believe about ourselves is the cause of our unhappiness or happiness.

Manifestation is part of the law of attraction, which means what you hold in your mind, your thoughts, emotions, feelings, actions, and beliefs, are manifested. The key to all of this is awareness. We are always creating. Buddhists say “In each moment that we are living, we are creating the next moment.”
It is worth thinking about if we are on a hamster wheel going round and round with our thoughts and feelings of unhappiness and solely focused on the outside world and what we want or what it is doing to us, we lose sight of “who we are.” Our essential nature is happiness.
As Louise Hays said: “The Universe supports us in every thought we choose to think and believe.” Our subconscious mind accepts whatever we believe as a fact; it doesn’t know the difference between happiness or unhappiness; it just creates our reality-based on what we believe. The true challenge is rather how we can manifest consciously so we don’t feel powerless and like we’re dependent on luck or any external factor.
Here are five easy to use manifestation principles that have helped guide me and experience happiness.
Have a clear vision
Make sure you have a clear idea vision of what you want to experience; otherwise, it will be challenging to align your intentions and to take action towards the things which will produce the happiness you seek. Be clear on your vision so that what you manifest will be in line with “who you want to be.”
Accept that it’s Already Yours
Yes, you read that correctly. Part of manifestation is the activity of “faith,” believing that what you have intentionally put out to the Universe is already yours. Please don’t focus on reasons why it shouldn’t work out; instead, surrender yourself to your desire and fully accept it in your life. Accept that this is what you want and that you want to have it.
Open to Possibilities
Try not to fall into the trap of thinking, I asked the Universe for what I want, and it seems like a lot of time has passed with no results. It is best to focus on understanding your part in this overall process. Rather than feeling as if the Universe will not respond, try instead to stay with the feelings the emotions and the well being that you will experience when the Universe responds.
Keep a Gratitude List
Gratitude sets you up for success because it places you in the right mindset to receive it. Expect that the Universe is more likely to give you what you want if you’re already grateful for what it has provided to you. So write a weekly list of all that you are grateful for in your life – my process is to raise both my hand in front of me daily, then I count down one finger at a time, speaking out load the blessings each finger represents, ending with putting my hands together and saying thank you. The great thing about gratitude is that it sets your mind and mood in a positive light. Shifting your perception from the outer world, “I want something I do not have” to be “In the moment where everything you need is available!
Meditation
Meditating has been a huge part of my life. I believe in the results that following the practice of meditation, I find myself living in the moment and less concerned with the external world. Meditation can help you deal with stress and negativity, which are two things that block you from experiencing happiness. My long time mentor and teacher reminds me, “sit in the silence, and you will know what you need to do next.”
As you plan to start practicing how you want to create happiness in your life, keep meditation in mind; it easy to begin practicing, it only takes 5-10 minutes a day. I promise you that it will increase positive emotions, help you stay focused on your vision, and bring you lasting happiness. In the end, even with the turbulent world events, we are experiencing, we must understand that the world is a reflection of us; this is not saying we are responsible for the world’s conditions.
In the end, even with the turbulent world events, we are experiencing, we must understand that the world is a reflection of us; this is not saying we are responsible for the world’s conditions. However, it recognizes that if we each do our part and play an essential role in the raising of the worlds vibration and welcoming more, love, self-acceptance, and faith in ourselves and others, happiness is sure to be experienced by all.
